Just your friendly reminder of our hours this weekend. Plus, we have book club on Saturday from 2 to 3 pm. Remember, there's a clothing sale going on. Anything that has orange is 20% off. Also, do I have any Vera Bradley fans here? It seems as though Vera's creations have inundated the Whimsy and I'm sure they'd prefer to be out in the wild. Let's find them some new homes. Here's the shop schedule for this coming weekend. Thanks to those who stopped in this weekend. We had a great Sunday. Let's keep up this momentum. We love seeing you! It makes it all worthwhile. It's going to be a busy weekend in Virgil, with Hollenbecks open and the festival at Greek Peak on Saturday. Seems like the perfect time to stop into the Whimsy since you'll probably be driving by. We have tables full of great Halloween items and 20% off gently used clothes that feature the color orange (even a hint of orange counts). Yes, that includes our SU merchandise. Don't forget our items for the sewing enthusiast. We have fabric at $2.50/yard, thread for $1/spool, buttons, zippers, patterns, and other notions. See you soon! Also, this needs to be said...how has no one bought this sweater from the Whimsy? This is a total David Rose moment that someone needs to be having. In the very least, this would be an amazing David Rose Halloween costume. It just needed to be said. That's my PSA for the day. I'm just shocked and outraged that it's still on our rack and not on someone's body. I've been working hard at revamping the displays and things are starting to feel nice and festive in the shop. I love spooky season! I've added some new plants for sale so the Whimsy is starting to feel like a jungle...no complaints from me, but I'd love for them to find good homes. I have some angelwing begonia cuttings for free. Just please don't take the water jar they're in. I'm one of those glass jar hoarders. I believe that we're going to offer a discount on all clothes with orange on them for the month of October but more on that in a future post. This weekend will be my official kick-off to mega spooky season and I'm leaning in full-tilt. Come for a visit because there's a lot of new creations for you to peruse. While I was away for the weekend, many of our vendors came in and restocked. Now, I'm walking in to enjoy some delightful new creations for the first time. Kay's Krafts restocked plant hangers and now we even have a couple towel holders. Why have a plain towel holder when you could have a cool one? Just a quick reminder that we have great deals on fabric ($2.50/yard), sewing patterns ($7.50 each), thread ($1/spool), buttons, and instructional books. Sure, we're not Jo-Ann's, but at least we're open (Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm). And remember to stop when you're going to get a treat at Hollenbecks. Another week, another dose of Whimsy. We're open tomorrow (Tuesday) and this weekend. Remember us when you hit up Hollenbecks. We're just around the corner.
